Privacy Policy: Daily Brief
Effective October 29, 2026
Daily Brief is a personal app that Turner Empire LLC built and runs for its owner. It connects only to the owner's own Google account and is not offered to anyone else. This policy explains what it reads and what it does with it.
What it reads
With the account owner's permission, Daily Brief has read-only access to:
- Google Calendar (
calendar.readonly): titles, times and locations of events for the current and next day. - Gmail (
gmail.readonly): the sender, subject and a short preview of unread inbox messages from the past day.
It cannot send, change or delete email or calendar events.
How it uses that information
Once a day, Daily Brief turns this information into a short briefing for the owner, saves it as a PDF, and puts the PDF in the owner's reMarkable cloud account so the owner can read it on their tablet. Nothing else is done with it.
Where it goes
- The app runs on the owner's own computer. The Google sign-in token is stored only there.
- To write the summary, event and email details are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI service. That processing falls under Anthropic's terms and privacy policy.
- The finished PDF is stored in the owner's reMarkable account.
- Google user data is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone else.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Daily Brief's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How long it's kept
The data the app collects for a day's brief is kept on the owner's computer for 30 days and then deleted. Briefs on the tablet are kept until the owner removes them.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
